Analytics Engineer - Finance

Overview

Mews offers an opportunity for an Analytics Engineer in Finance to join the company and help build technology for the hospitality industry. As the founding analytics engineer in Finance, the successful candidate will shape data infrastructure and analytical capabilities during a critical transformation phase, driving operational efficiency, accelerating month-end close, and delivering strategic insights for capital allocation and IPO readiness. The role involves designing analytical features, building and optimizing production-ready ETL/ELT pipelines, creating scalable data models, and working directly with Finance leadership.

Requirements

Applicants must bring a minimum of three years of hands-on production experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, along with proficiency in SQL and Python. Candidates should have strong experience with DBT or equivalent modern data transformation tools, and either experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms or a willingness to ramp quickly. A strong understanding of data modelling and analytics architecture is required, along with the ability to work autonomously, manage priorities with ambiguity, and demonstrate a commitment to data quality, testing, and accuracy. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.
