Overview

Back Market, a global marketplace for refurbished devices and a certified B Corp, is offering a six-month internship as a Tracking Specialist in Paris. The role sits in the Data and Measurement team, which makes sure every interaction on the website and apps is measured accurately, reliably and in line with privacy rules. The team owns the tracking set-up, including Google Tag Manager on web and server side, GA4 and advertising platform tags, across 17 markets.

What you will do

The intern implements and maintains tags, triggers and variables in the tag manager containers for analytics and advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta, and specifies and tests dataLayer events with developers so new features ship with the right tracking. Other duties include auditing tracking across markets, finding broken or missing events and following fixes through to production, building data quality checks and alerts in BigQuery, making sure tracking respects user consent and privacy regulations, keeping the tracking plan documented, and answering questions from the Marketing, Product and Data teams.

Who can apply

Candidates should be in the final year of a master's degree in engineering, business, data or digital marketing, or equivalent, and be looking for a six-month internship. Experience or strong interest in web analytics and tag management, an understanding of JavaScript and HTML, some SQL, and an interest in privacy topics such as GDPR, cookies and consent platforms are expected. Fluency in both French and English is mandatory. Knowledge of server-side tagging or advertising platforms is a bonus.

What you get

The internship is full time at 35 hours a week, with a salary of 1,200 to 1,400 euros per month. The working pattern is hybrid, with two remote days a week, one remote week per quarter and three flex days.

Key dates

The internship starts in January 2027 and lasts six months. The process has three interviews, including a live case study.
