Sales Engineer (all genders)

Overview

The Sales Engineer role at Lio is a customer-facing internship position based at the Munich Office. The position involves turning customer requirements into working software to prove real-world value in complex enterprise environments. The work requires traveling to customer sites for workshops one to two times per week.

Who can apply

Candidates should have hands-on experience with SaaS systems, APIs, cloud architectures, and data-driven applications. Applicants need the ability to build, extend, or integrate software using tools such as Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, REST APIs, MongoDB, or similar technologies. Familiarity with enterprise IT landscapes and cloud platforms like Azure is required, along with a preference for shipping working software over slide decks and an ability to collaborate with customers and C-level stakeholders.

Requirements

Selected candidates will build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and custom extensions to demonstrate value. Responsibilities include configuring and adapting Lio's AI-driven P2P platform to customer workflows and enterprise resource planning landscapes, and leading technical deep dives, live demos, and workshops with procurement, IT, and architecture teams. Additional duties involve translating recurring customer needs into scalable product features and partnering with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Founders as the technical owner of deal success.
