TIMERA Fellowship 2026–2029: Training in Infectious Disease Modelling for African Public Health Professionals
Overview
The Training Initiative for Modelling Epidemic Response in Africa is a professional training programme funded through EDCTP3. Running from 2026 to 2029, the initiative aims to strengthen infectious disease modelling capacity and support evidence-based epidemic preparedness across the continent. Approximately 50 fellows will participate in the programme across three sequential cohorts. The fellowship spans 12 months and utilizes a blended learning format that includes preparation activities, face-to-face training blocks, remote mentoring, group work, thematic workshops, and an evidence-generation phase.
