Overview
DT Global is seeking a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Adviser to support the Government of Tuvalu and development partners in strengthening gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion across policies, systems, programmes, and services. This position is part of the Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform, an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by DT Global. The role is offered as a 12-month contract with a potential six-month extension, and it is an accompanied role providing competitive remuneration and benefits. The position is based in Funafuti, Tuvalu, with flexible and fly-in, fly-out working arrangements potentially available.
Who can apply
Applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion analysis and mainstreaming, international development, gender programme management, or a related discipline. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience advancing gender equality and social inclusion outcomes, including gender analysis, gender mainstreaming, and collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders. A strong understanding of child protection, domestic violence, and gender-based violence issues is necessary, alongside experience supporting gender-responsive policies, programmes, and services. Experience working or living in Pacific Island countries or Small Island Developing States is highly desirable.
