Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship in Europe 2027-2029 | Fully Funded
Overview
The Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship is a fully funded two-year master’s program spanning across multiple European institutions. Designed for exceptional international students from around the world, the program provides a diverse student body and a blended degree structure. Participants select one of four mobility study tracks, allowing them to study across two different partner institutions located in Austria, Spain, England, and the Netherlands. The academic program includes a study trip, a thesis internship, and a thesis report. Upon completion, graduates receive a diploma supplement and a joint degree awarded by the two partner institutions attended. The host organizations for the program are Erasmus and the European Union, with participating locations including the International Institute of Social Studies, Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, Central European Union, and the University of York.
Who can apply
The scholarship is open to international students who have already completed their undergraduate degree. Students currently in their final year of undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply provided they supply the necessary evidence documents, such as an interim transcript and a certificate of enrollment. Applicants must also read and meet the specific admission requirements of the partner universities they apply to. Individuals who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarship are not eligible to apply for another one.
What you get
Selected participants receive a complete tuition fee waiver for the duration of the two-year program and are exempt from paying the Central European Union application fee. Recipients are provided a monthly allowance of 1,400 euros for 24 months, which is intended to cover travel, visa, subsistence, and other living expenses. Additional financial support is available for students with special needs or disabilities. Furthermore, health insurance is included for all selected candidates.
Requirements
Applicants must submit a completed online application form along with higher education academic records, a diploma or certificate of graduation, a curriculum vitae, application essays or a statement of purpose, and a passport. Final year undergraduate students must provide an interim transcript and a certificate of enrollment instead of a final degree certificate. Additional mandatory submissions include an English language test score report and two letters of recommendation, for which applicants must register the names and contact details of referees.
How to apply
Candidates must apply through the online application portal by creating a new account and selecting the desired course type. Because the four mobility tracks each have separate application forms, applicants must choose one specific track and click apply to begin the process. The application requires entering personal details, contact information, qualification and experience details, and uploading all required documents. During the process, applicants must indicate their desire for financial aid by selecting yes when asked about being considered for funding, register their referees, agree to the terms and conditions, and submit the form. No separate application is required for the scholarship itself beyond the main program application.
Key dates
The application deadline for the Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship is December 1, 2026.
