Erasmus Mundus ILSPSD Scholarship 2027 (Fully Funded)
Overview
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development (ILSPSD) is a full-time, 24-month master's program funded by the European Union through the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). It brings together six European degree-awarding partner institutions to train future international lawyers and policy-makers to deal with the threats, conflicts and challenges of today's world. Students from any region of the world can apply.
The program includes summer schools, legal clinics, guest lectures and direct contact with practitioners. Students start at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, continue at the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals, and then specialize in one of four tracks at the University of Glasgow, Université libre de Bruxelles, Universidade NOVA, or the University of Tartu. The last semester is devoted to a research dissertation, with an optional work placement. Graduates are prepared for careers in international courts and organisations, the EU, ministries, NGOs and think tanks.
What you get
The scholarship amounts to 1,400 euros per month, covering travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs. Tuition fees are waived for the whole program, and the mobility structure gives students the chance to study in several European universities.
Requirements
Applicants need an undergraduate degree that gives access to master's-level studies and must meet the entry requirements of each partner university. Those whose first language is not English need at least CEFR C1, for example IELTS Academic 7.0 or Cambridge Advanced (C1) or Proficiency (C2). Different language requirements apply to the Glasgow and Brussels tracks.
How to apply
Applicants create an account on the admissions portal, choose a study track that fits their background, and check any extra entry requirements for it. They then rank their first, second and third track preferences, fill in the form, upload documents, and submit. Required documents are the entrance qualification or school leaving certificate, diploma and transcript of records, a personal statement, reference letters, a CV and proof of English proficiency.
