Overview

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant for its Earth for Life programme in Washington, D.C., United States, on a hybrid work model. Earth for Life supports large-scale conservation efforts by combining strategic planning, financial resources and innovative approaches to protecting important ecosystems.

The assistant provides day-to-day support to the Earth for Life team. Administrative duties include managing calendars, coordinating meetings and appointments, handling requests, preparing correspondence and keeping records organised. The role also supports domestic and international travel arrangements, financial administration such as processing invoices, expense reporting, payment requests and budget-related activities, and coordinating internal meetings, workshops and events. Further tasks include maintaining digital files and databases and assisting with new employee onboarding, including schedules, introductions, office access and administrative processes.

Requirements

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, one to four years of administrative support experience and experience in an office environment. Strong communication, organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are expected, along with Microsoft Office proficiency, time management, confidentiality and teamwork. Experience with financial procedures or office accounting systems is an advantage.

The salary range is approximately USD $44,600 to $55,700 per year, or about $24.51 to $30.60 per hour.
