Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is recruiting a Project Specialist on Investable Nature Project Pipeline. Tasks include creating standardised investment frameworks, methodologies, templates and criteria for identifying investable projects, training teams on pipeline building, and advising on project sourcing, pre-feasibility analysis, financial structuring and blended finance, including revenue streams such as biodiversity credits and ecosystem service payments. The role also covers identifying legal, regulatory, fiscal, social and policy barriers to private investment, mapping relationships with financial institutions, corporations and development banks, analysing investment appetite, risks and de-risking options, and helping set up national public-private working groups. A further task is leading the initial concept for a global or regional investment matchmaking platform that connects project proponents with investors.
