Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is hiring a Data Collection Clerk in Nicosia, Cyprus, to work with the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) through the UNDP Projects Management Office. The post is full-time under a National Personnel Service Agreement (NPSA-3), with a one-year contract that may be extended. The CMP works to resolve cases of people who went missing during inter-communal fighting in 1963 and 1964, the events of 1974 and the period in between, and to recover, identify and return remains to families. The clerk is based in the CMP Greek Cypriot Member's Office and works closely with CMP and UNDP teams.

Requirements
Applicants need a secondary education or high school certificate and at least three years of data collection experience, including research in archives, newspapers and social media, sensitive interviewing of witnesses or informants, database maintenance and Microsoft Office use. They must be able to evaluate evidence critically. Working fluency in English and Greek is required, and basic Turkish is an advantage. Forensic investigation, information analysis, missing-persons casework, knowledge of Cyprus's modern history and the bi-communal work of the CMP, and a certificate in criminology or investigations are further assets. The post is open to nationals or permanent residents of Cyprus.
