Overview
Together for Girls is hiring a Deputy Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, a full-time remote role in the Operations department. The organization works globally to combine data, advocacy and action to help end violence against children and adolescents, particularly sexual violence, drawing on 19 years of data from the Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys. The Deputy Director reports to the Senior Director of Finance and strengthens financial planning, forecasting, grant financial management and decision-making across its US and European entities.
Who can apply
Applicants must be based in the United States or United Kingdom and hold work authorization for their preferred location. They should have 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit or NGO finance, FP&A, grants finance or a related field, with experience managing complex budgets, forecasting, financial analysis and budget-to-actual reporting. Strong knowledge of grant and fund accounting, advanced Excel skills, experience building financial models and allocation methods, and experience with QuickBooks or similar systems are required. Experience with institutional donors such as the European Union, FCDO or Global Affairs Canada is valuable, as is experience with international operations, multiple currencies, personnel cost allocation, level-of-effort tracking and donor effort reporting. Requirements
Responsibilities include contributing to annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts, preparing consolidated analysis, quarterly variance reports and financial health metrics, and building financial models and scenario analyses. For assigned grants, the Deputy Director monitors burn rates, forecasts spending, reconciles with the general ledger and prepares donor reports, working with Finance, Development, Grants Management and Program teams. The role also covers proposal budgets, indirect cost recovery and improving financial systems, dashboards and templates.
What you get
Salary depends on location: Washington, DC $97,000 to $113,000; Boston, MA $111,000 to $127,000; London, UK £72,800 to £83,400. Benefits include paid leave and health insurance, varying by country. Core hours are 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, with the other four hours flexible, and travel may reach 10%.
