Overview

The Southeast Asia Gender-based Violence Prevention Platform is building a Safeguarding Roster of Consultants. The roster will provide tailored technical assistance to organizations that receive grants through the Platform, helping them strengthen their safeguarding systems, policies and practices and the way they prevent and respond to risks. Support is shaped around each grantee's needs rather than a single standard approach.

What you will do

Consultants may support safeguarding-related grant assessments and onboarding, including reviewing an organization's safeguarding capacity, risks and existing systems. They help organizations create safeguarding action plans by identifying areas to improve and setting practical steps. They provide ongoing technical assistance, such as advising on systems, supporting implementation of action plans and answering technical questions. They also help monitor progress on agreed improvements and coordinate with stakeholders involved in the Platform's grantmaking and technical support.

Who can apply

The opportunity is aimed at professionals with a background in safeguarding, gender-based violence prevention, protection, organizational development or related fields, with practical experience helping organizations strengthen safeguarding. Relevant expertise includes safeguarding policy development, risk assessment, capacity building, organizational assessments, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, survivor-centred approaches, child safeguarding, protection and GBV programming. Experience giving technical assistance to civil society organizations, NGOs, community groups or grant recipients is valuable, as is understanding of how organizations work across Southeast Asia. Consultants need to communicate safeguarding concepts clearly and work well with different stakeholders.

How to apply

Candidates should review the full application requirements and prepare their materials in good time.
