Overview

Social Tech Ventures (STV) is an early-stage venture fund that invests in technology companies tackling social and environmental problems, with a focus on health and wellbeing, financial resilience, and climate and environmental sustainability. It uses a revenue-first investment strategy with flexible equity structures. After the first close of its fund, STV is deploying investments while attracting further investors. It is hiring an Investment Associate for a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

The role is largely remote within the UK, with occasional meetings in London. The associate manages the investment pipeline, including inbound opportunities, the CRM system, application assessments, screening notes and communication with founders. They also carry out commercial and financial due diligence, build financial models, prepare investment committee papers, assess risks and support legal due diligence. They coordinate portfolio and investor reporting, including limited partner reporting and the Fundrbird reporting system, and handle fund operations such as governance records, compliance documentation, investor onboarding, capital calls, data rooms and secure handling of confidential information.

Requirements

Applicants need at least three years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment analysis, corporate finance, fund operations, impact investing or financial analysis. Required skills include strong financial modelling, advanced Excel, due diligence, analytical ability, report writing, organization and project management, attention to detail and managing multiple priorities, together with a genuine interest in technology for social and environmental impact. Experience with early-stage technology companies, seed investing, revenue-based financing, portfolio monitoring, CRM systems, Fundrbird and data rooms is desirable. Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.

What you get

The salary is 45,000 to 50,000 pounds a year, with flexible remote working, a pension scheme, family-friendly policies and opportunities for professional growth.

How to apply

Candidates send an updated CV and a one-page statement covering why the role interests them, how their experience matches it, and an example of analytical or investment work they delivered while handling multiple priorities. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and recruitment will close once a suitable candidate is found.
