Oil Change International is seeking a Social Media Content Creator (Japanese) to support its Asia team and the Fossil Free Japan campaign. The position is a fully remote contract for a communications professional with excellent Japanese and good English. Requirements
Applicants must have excellent written and spoken Japanese and good English, and must be based within the UTC+07:00 to UTC+11:00 range, which is Japan Standard Time plus or minus two hours. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to finish projects on time and alignment with the organisation's values are also needed. Experience with Japanese social media campaigns, nonprofit or commercial, is desirable, and videography, video editing or graphic design skills are an advantage.
Responsibilities include developing ideas for Japanese and English content, writing Japanese posts from English campaign messaging guides, writing captions for infographics, photographs and short videos, and supporting content across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook. The creator also adapts partner organisations' content, helps maintain the content calendar, assists with website updates, reviews Japanese translations for accuracy, tone and cultural relevance, joins regular meetings with Asia team campaigners and coalition meetings, and handles administrative tasks including submitting invoices on time.
