Overview

New Left Accelerator (NLA) and its 501(c)(3) affiliate The Capacity Shop (TCS) are hiring a Senior Fundraising Manager for a temporary remote role in the United States. The two organizations have worked since 2016 on operations capacity building, creating programs, training and tools that help social justice organizations carry out ambitious work while managing operational, legal, safety and security risks. The manager provides hands-on fundraising capacity across both organizations and reports to the Executive Director.

What the role involves

The position is temporary and non-exempt, and can be full-time or part-time at roughly 30 or 40 hours a week. Duties include drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, renewal requests and donor reports, coordinating grant deadlines, aligning budgets with proposal narratives with Finance and Operations, keeping fundraising data in Airtable, supporting quarterly priorities and the end-of-year campaign, leading weekly fundraising meetings, preparing briefing materials for funder meetings and conferences, researching institutional funders, tracking individual donors and writing annual impact reports.

Who can apply

Applicants need at least eight years of fundraising experience with substantial foundation fundraising and grant management, excellent grant writing and editing, strong project management and attention to detail, experience working with executive leadership, and a commitment to social justice and movement-building. Airtable experience is preferred and funder relationships are an advantage. Applicants must live in the U.S. and be legally authorized to work there, with about two to three domestic trips a year.

What you get

Pay is $44.70 to $52.16 per hour depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, life and short-term disability coverage, a Health FSA, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, summer and winter breaks, a professional development stipend, a work-from-home stipend and a retirement plan with up to 4% matching.

Key dates

The priority application deadline is September 18, 2026, with interviews on a rolling basis.
