Senior Analytics Engineer

Overview

Sohohouseco is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the data team in London, United Kingdom. This role focuses on enhancing the data platform by developing advanced analytics features within the transformations layer, optimising performance, and collaborating with data engineers to maintain scalability and robustness. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants must possess proven expertise in developing complex, high-performing SQL data models, alongside a deep understanding of Snowflake and either dbt Core or dbt Cloud. Candidates should also have experience managing semantic layer-based business intelligence tools, with a strong preference for Omni or Looker. Key duties involve building advanced dbt transformations, optimising the codebase for Snowflake credit spend and build times, administering dbt Cloud, and managing GitHub repositories with version control best practices and automated testing workflows. Additional responsibilities include setting up data observability processes, collaborating on end-to-end data pipelines, and administering the semantic layer in Omni to provide governed metrics for end-users. Preferred qualifications include the use of AI for coding workflows such as Claude Code, AI context experience for semantic layers in Omni, and prior background in the hospitality industry.
