Overview

Save the Children International is recruiting a Senior Manager, Global Change for its global transformation team in the United Kingdom. The post is full-time and permanent, with hybrid and remote options depending on the approved location of the successful candidate, and international travel of up to 10% may be needed. The role has a global remit and no specific time zone is listed. Save the Children operates in 116 countries and prioritises children who are among the most deprived and marginalised, under its Ambition for Children 2030 strategy.

The manager leads change management for major global transformation initiatives, helping country offices and member organisations adopt new systems, processes, technologies and ways of working. Duties include assessing how changes affect people, processes, data, technology, policies, governance and legal requirements, developing change implementation strategies and transition plans for projects and country offices, analysing stakeholders, building change and communications plans and materials, managing change workstreams, keeping project teams and governance groups informed, working with consultants and technology partners, and coordinating with Regional Change Managers.

Who can apply

Applicants need considerable experience leading change management for large global transformation programmes, covering both systems and non-system change, across multiple project phases. They should apply recognised change methodologies, engage senior stakeholders in diverse international settings, run change-impact assessments, document current and future processes, coach colleagues and work well in fast-moving environments, including with stakeholders of varying digital literacy. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with understanding of a structured change methodology or accredited training; external accreditation, nonprofit or development experience and French, Spanish or Arabic are advantages. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the country where they will be based.

How to apply

Applicants submit a CV and a cover letter on the organisation's careers platform. The process includes an application review and two competency-based interviews, and some candidates may complete an assessment or case study. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the vacancy may close early. The organisation charges no fee at any stage of recruitment.
