Remote Business Engagement Manager Opportunity with Action Speaks Louder – Apply by September 18, 2026
Overview
Action Speaks Louder, a not-for-profit organisation that works to hold major corporations accountable for their climate commitments, is seeking a Business Engagement Manager, Corporate Standards. The role is a fully remote contract or freelance position that can be done from anywhere in the world, at roughly 0.8 to 1.0 FTE, with a preference for candidates based in Latin America. The expected start date is October 18, 2026.
The manager will help build a coalition of climate-leading businesses that support stronger corporate emissions reporting, at a time when reporting standards are being developed and reviewed.
Requirements
Duties include developing campaign strategies, engaging business leaders, industry associations, investors, academic and legal experts, NGOs and political stakeholders, and building trusted relationships with corporate decision-makers. The role also involves analysing voluntary and mandatory greenhouse-gas reporting standards and may include organising networking events, roundtables and forums, supporting media outreach, preparing briefings and coordinating joint statements.
The organisation looks for experience in business engagement, corporate partnerships, climate advocacy or corporate sustainability, along with knowledge of corporate climate policy and emissions reporting, strategic and partnership-building skills, and the ability to explain technical issues in clear business terms. Fluency in English is essential, and Spanish or Portuguese is desirable. The organisation cannot sponsor a business visa or work permit, so candidates need the legal right to work where they live.
What you get
Pay is described as competitive and based on location; for someone in Brazil the full-time equivalent is approximately R$12,000 to R$13,500 per month. The role offers flexible working and networking with climate organisations across about 20 countries. Calls outside normal hours and some international travel may be needed.
How to apply
Applicants send a CV and a cover letter, each no more than two pages, with the cover letter addressing the selection criteria. The deadline is September 18, 2026, and applications are reviewed and interviews held on a rolling basis.
