Overview

Règles Élémentaires, an association focused on menstrual equality and justice, is hiring a Director General to lead its strategic and operational development from its headquarters in Paris, France. The post is a permanent full-time contract (CDI), office-based with occasional remote work, and is expected to begin in December 2026.

The association was established in 2015 and has grown considerably, with around 20 employees and an annual budget of approximately 1.8 million euros. It has broadened its work on menstrual health, started building a European presence and begun restructuring its corporate philanthropy strategy.

What you get

The gross annual fixed salary is 60,000 to 65,000 euros. Benefits include full health insurance coverage, meal vouchers, a menstrual voucher for products provided by the employer and seven weeks of paid annual leave. The office is at 13 rue de Santeuil, 75005 Paris.

Who can apply

Applicants need at least 10 years of leadership experience, including at least five years as a Director General, Deputy Director General, Executive Director or equivalent. This experience should ideally come from an association, nonprofit or public-interest organisation of comparable size.

Requirements

Strong skills are expected in organisational leadership, management, financial oversight and fundraising. Experience developing private partnerships and managing diversified or hybrid funding models is particularly relevant. Candidates also need strong institutional communication skills and the ability to work with governance bodies and senior stakeholders. Knowledge of European partnership models or international experience is an advantage.

The Director General will turn strategy into operational objectives, oversee the budget, cash flow and financial risks, lead fundraising, strengthen corporate and public-sector partnerships, prepare Board and General Assembly meetings, direct people management and represent the organisation to partners, political figures and the media.

How to apply

Applicants submit a CV and a cover letter. The selection process includes an HR interview, an interview with the Deputy Director General, a case study, an interview with Board members and a final exchange with the current Director General and the management committee.

Key dates

Applications are open until 2 October 2026, and the role is expected to start from December 2026.
