Platform Reliability Engineering Manager

Overview

Firmus is a global leader in designing, building, and operating efficient AI infrastructure, including the large-scale GPU cloud platform Firmus AI Cloud and the proprietary operating system AI FactoryOS. The organization is seeking a Platform Reliability Engineering Manager to lead the platform reliability team in Sydney, Australia. This leadership position oversees the engineers handling escalations from operation centres as well as the Service Delivery Managers overseeing incident, change, and problem management.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to candidates with solid hands-on engineering experience in infrastructure operations or site reliability engineering, alongside significant experience leading a 24/7 production engineering, SRE, or operations team within a large-scale hosting, high-performance computing, telecommunications, data centre, or service provider environment. Applicants must possess working abilities in scripting or programming such as Python, Go, or Bash, as well as infrastructure as code. Candidates also need working knowledge of site reliability engineering practices, incident response, and observability tooling like Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and Grafana. Preferred qualifications include experience as a major incident commander or operating GPU, high-performance computing, or AI infrastructure.
