Part-Time Data Analyst at the Center for Violence Prevention Research: Remote U.S. Opportunity Paying $35 Per Hour
Overview
The Center for Violence Prevention Research is hiring a Part-Time Data Analyst to support quantitative research on preventing violence against women and children. The Center develops and evaluates community-based prevention strategies and asks whether a strategy works, and how, for whom and in what settings. The job is fully remote within the United States, with about 10 hours of work per week at $35 per hour. The analyst reports to the Senior Data Analyst and works across several projects.
What you get
Pay is $35 per hour. The Center also gives work-from-home stipends covering phone, internet, utilities and equipment, and supplies a computer and necessary software. Staff keep a home office with internet and phone, and the team remains collaborative through regular interaction.
Who can apply
Applicants need a Master's degree in statistics, epidemiology, public health, social work, psychology, data science or a related field, strong skills in R for data management and statistical analysis, experience cleaning and preparing datasets, experience with descriptive and inferential statistics, and an understanding of reproducible research including code documentation and version control. Experience with national surveillance systems, surveys, restricted-access administrative data, or sources such as NVDRS, NCANDS and vital records is preferred.
