Overview
Intersectional Innovations Consulting is hiring an Outreach and Communications Coordinator for a flexible, part-time remote role open to candidates anywhere in the world. The pay is USD 30 to 40 per hour for about 5 to 10 hours per week, working with a small part-time team to strengthen the organisation's digital presence, community engagement and communications. The role is mid-level and requires a two-year degree.
The coordinator leads communications, outreach and relationship building across digital platforms and community networks, building relationships with partners, clients, speakers and collaborators while keeping communications consistent with the organisation's values and voice.
What you will do
Responsibilities include owning the content and social media strategy by drafting, editing, scheduling and publishing on LinkedIn and Instagram, managing an editorial calendar, writing newsletters, client letters, event invitations and follow-ups, updating website pages and resources, creating promotional copy, graphics and reminders for events and campaigns, designing flyers and graphics in Canva, reviewing engagement data to improve strategy, and finding relevant articles and reports. A typical week includes daily email and message traffic, scheduling content, following up on action items, outreach for podcast and speaking opportunities and weekly calendar reviews. Monthly, the coordinator plans communications four to six weeks ahead and spots content gaps. Tools include LinkedIn, Instagram, Canva, Wix, HoneyBook, Google Workspace, Google Analytics and YouTube.
Requirements
Applicants should write clearly and warmly, adapt tone to different audiences while keeping a consistent voice, and have hands-on experience with LinkedIn content and scheduling, Canva and Wix website management. They should manage an editorial calendar and multiple tasks with little supervision, be reliable and detail-oriented, and be good at building relationships. An interest or background in social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion, restorative work or community-centred initiatives is valuable.
