Overview

One Acre Fund is hiring a Finance Associate for its Uganda programme, based in Jinja or Kampala. The post is a two-year renewable contract with a start as soon as possible, and the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance. One Acre Fund was founded in 2006 and works with 5.5 million smallholder farmers in nine African countries, providing farm inputs, tree seedlings, credit and agronomic training, with participating farmers raising income and assets by more than 35% on supported land. It has more than 9,000 staff.

The associate provides financial analysis and reporting for the Uganda programme and works with the Grants Finance team on donor-funded projects. Duties include building and refining five-year financial forecasts and planning models with the Country Director and Global Finance team, scenario analysis, advising leadership, leading monthly Budget vs Actual reporting, managing the financial side of Uganda-focused grants, preparing donor forecasts and reports, monitoring spending against budgets, managing fund flow models, preparing Uganda tax returns and statutory filings, acting as main contact during internal and external audits and recommending control improvements.
