Overview

The Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP) is seeking a Global Coordinator to provide strategic leadership to its international, sex worker-led network. NSWP is a global membership organisation made up of sex worker-led organisations and networks across five regions, working to strengthen the rights, health, safety and wellbeing of sex workers. The role is remote and open internationally, with applications from the Global South particularly encouraged.

The coordinator works under the guidance of the Board of Directors and alongside the Operations and Programme Management Team and the Communications, Policy and Programme Team. Responsibilities include supporting the strategic plan, strengthening governance and systems, managing Board meetings, overseeing budgets and financial management, developing donor proposals, maintaining donor and partner relationships, supporting recruitment and staff development, and representing NSWP at international events, in the media and on policy platforms. The coordinator also supports emerging sex worker leaders and builds alliances with other movements.

Who can apply

The post is reserved for suitably qualified applicants with sex work experience. Candidates should have led a national or regional sex worker-led network, know the issues affecting sex workers globally and have broad management experience in fundraising, financial and donor budget management, human resources, programme management, organisational development, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy and partnerships. Strong communication, public speaking and writing skills are needed. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish is an advantage.

What you get

The maximum budget is 81,200 pounds, including tax and benefits. UK-based candidates receive a salary of 67,000 pounds per year plus an 8% pension contribution and other benefits. Candidates outside the UK work remotely as consultants in their countries of residence, within about four hours either side of the UK Secretariat's time zone. NSWP is an approved UK government sponsoring employer and may support a UK work visa application, subject to requirements.

Key dates

Applications close on Sunday, 13 September 2026 at 23:59 GMT. Interviews are planned by Zoom during the week beginning 21 September 2026. Applicants should read the full Terms of Reference before applying.
