The role sits in the Strategic Partnerships Department and strengthens the organisation's visibility, brand identity, digital presence and programme storytelling during its transition. The officer reports to the Strategic Partnerships Manager, leads the communications strategy and supervises communications interns, volunteers and content support staff. Regular travel to programme locations across Kenya is needed to document field work.

What you will do

Responsibilities include supporting the communications strategy, producing stories, newsletters, articles, press releases, briefs and infographics, documenting programme achievements and community success stories, managing the website and digital channels, planning and monitoring social media with analytics tools, coordinating media engagement and press inquiries, and producing donor and partner visibility materials that meet branding requirements. The officer also leads the Annual Report and institutional publications, finds ways to raise NIA's profile nationally and internationally, and works with programme and MEAL teams to capture evidence of impact.
