Overview
Ektimisi, a research and development consulting firm working across the Middle East and Eastern Europe, is hiring a Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Specialist. The firm carries out research, evaluations, third-party monitoring and capacity building in complex settings such as Syria, Iraq and Ukraine. The position is full-time and remote with flexible hours, and candidates based in Syria or Europe are preferred. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
What you get
The specialist receives a fixed monthly payment plus performance-based bonuses, along with exposure to international partners and multi-country projects. Preferred coordination availability is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Turkey time. The start date is immediate or by mutual agreement.
Requirements
Applicants need at least four years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting, research, data collection coordination, data analysis, training coordination or humanitarian and development programming. Strong English writing, experience coordinating field teams, enumerators or trainers, strong Excel skills including data cleaning and charts, and an understanding of project cycles, indicators and research tools are required. A reliable internet connection is essential.
A degree in international development, social sciences, statistics, economics, public policy or information management is an advantage, as are experience with MEAL frameworks and familiarity with KoboToolbox, ODK, Power BI or Tableau. English-Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
The work involves coordinating field data collection, supporting the rollout of tools such as Kobo, briefing field teams, reviewing data for completeness, accuracy and consistency, analysing quantitative and qualitative information, and writing fieldwork updates, data quality notes and sections of reports. The specialist may also coordinate training assignments, build pools of researchers, enumerators, facilitators and trainers, and keep project files organized in SharePoint.
