This role sits between International Finance and Business Development, reporting to the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager. The position supports humanitarian funding proposals through strategic pricing, budgeting, and financial analysis, helping the organization compete for funding while maintaining financial sustainability and donor compliance.

Who can apply

Applicants need a bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, along with two to four years of experience in budgeting, proposal finance, pricing, or a related area. Experience in an international nongovernmental organization or complex operating environment is preferred. Candidates should understand donor funding mechanisms, competitive proposal development, and the preparation or review of budgets and financial proposals. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling is required, alongside the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance colleagues and a commitment to the organization humanitarian mission.

What you get

In addition, employees are encouraged to dedicate five percent of their time to learning and professional development.

Requirements

The role involves supporting pricing strategies for funding opportunities, preparing competitive and compliant cost proposals, and reviewing budget assumptions, calculations, scenarios, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy. The advisor serves as a finance partner throughout proposal development by assessing financial feasibility, evaluating pricing options, translating programme designs into realistic budgets, supporting consortium budgets, coordinating partner financial inputs, identifying budget risks, and contributing to proposal reviews. Additional duties include analyzing cost drivers, supporting scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, assessing financial and commercial risks, escalating significant risks to the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager, and providing guidance to country and regional teams on budgeting and pricing.
