Overview
The Lotus Institute is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support its digital marketing, communications, events and content work. The position is part time and remote, open to people anywhere in the United States, at 15 to 20 hours per week. The coordinator leads the execution and improvement of marketing across digital channels, aiming to raise audience reach and engagement and to promote programs, events and initiatives.
Duties include social media planning, scheduling, publishing and tracking, maintaining website content and user experience, managing member communications through the Circle app, supporting marketing strategy, monitoring performance and using audience insights, developing newsletter strategy, giving technical support for online events and in-person events when needed, editing and distributing event recordings, attending weekly team meetings and supporting other projects.
Requirements
Applicants need a four-year degree and three to five or more years of experience in marketing, communications or digital content. Strong writing, editing and content creation skills are important, along with experience building marketing strategies and social media content calendars, using data to improve results, and managing projects. Tools mentioned include Squarespace, Canva, iMovie or Wondershare, Google Workspace, YouTube, email marketing platforms and social scheduling tools. Preferred experience includes email marketing, audience segmentation, campaign analytics, website optimisation and SEO, Circle or similar community platforms, webinars, video or audio production, work in mission-driven, nonprofit, wellness or education settings, and Spanish.
