Maliasili is hiring a full-time Senior Manager, Portfolio Funding Support, listed as Remote (Africa). Maliasili strengthens locally led conservation in Africa by helping local and national organisations improve performance, leadership and access to resources, rather than running programmes itself. Its portfolio has about 55 partners working across more than 64 million hectares in 17 countries, in areas such as wildlife conservation, land restoration, coastal fisheries, community and Indigenous land rights and nature-based businesses. It reports helping partners generate or leverage more than $27.3 million.
What you will do
The role is split across five areas. Fundraising methodology and tools take about 20%, including guides, a resource library and content for the Wezesha Hub. Portfolio Manager support takes 25%, such as materials to assess partners' fundraising needs and fundraising clinics and strategy sessions. Direct fundraising support takes 25%, including advising partners, connecting them with donors and leading clustered workshops. Donor engagement takes 20%, including supporting selected donor relationships, positioning the Vuma Fund and contributing to a $65 million fundraising goal. Cross-team coordination takes 10%, working with Finance and Administration, Strategic Initiatives, Communications, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.
