Overview

The Lead Exposure Elimination Project (LEEP) is recruiting a Regional Head for Francophone Africa. LEEP is an evidence-based nonprofit working to eliminate childhood lead poisoning, with programmes focused on paint, spices and traditional eyeliners in more than 40 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. The post is full-time and fully remote, for someone in a time zone from UTC-5 to UTC+3, and starts as soon as possible.

The Regional Head leads about three to five Program Managers, works with the Program Director, senior leadership and other regional leaders, and may support work beyond lead paint as LEEP expands. Roughly 40% of the role is strategic programme guidance, 40% team management, 15% developing programme and internal systems, and 5% special projects.

Applicants need at least five years of relevant professional experience, experience leading teams and strong people-management and coaching skills, plus excellent stakeholder management, influencing, communication, problem-solving and decision-making. Experience in low- and middle-income countries or with governments and policymakers is highly relevant. Remote working and managing remote teams is expected unless the candidate is based in London. Full professional proficiency in English and French is required, and travel of about 8 to 12 weeks a year is expected.
