The International Maritime Organization (IMO), the United Nations specialized agency for international shipping, is building a roster of temporary Administrative Assistants under vacancy announcement STA 26-03. Roster members provide operational and administrative support across divisions and functional areas of the Organization, working at IMO Headquarters in the United Kingdom on a hybrid basis.
What you get

What the role involves
Assistants may support managers, teams and working groups with coordination, documentation, meetings, procurement, travel, records management and general office operations. Tasks include coordinating daily operational and contractual activities, preparing and updating correspondence, meeting files, reports and briefs, and creating tables, graphs, spreadsheets and presentations.
They support IMO working and drafting groups at Headquarters or on Microsoft Teams and Zoom, proofread and edit documents, help organize meetings and events, communicate with participants, focal points and subcontractors, and support procurement and budget monitoring, including requisitions and Excel-based statistical reports. They also process official travel, including visa, accommodation, security clearance and meet-and-greet arrangements, and maintain databases and electronic records.

Requirements
Applicants need secondary education or equivalent and five years of relevant administrative experience. English is required.
