Overview

Hivos is recruiting for 11 positions under the THRIVE Programme, which promotes an enabling environment for civil society. The programme is funded through the Swedish Strategy for Support to Civil Society 2025 to 2029 and will run in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Colombia and Lebanon. It responds to shrinking civic space, operational constraints and limited access to sustainable resources by helping civil society organisations become stronger, more resilient and better connected.

Programme goals

THRIVE has three aims: safe and inclusive spaces for civil society collaboration, stronger operational and strategic capacity in areas such as financial management, leadership and sustainability, and greater access to knowledge, networks and resources.

Available positions

Finance roles are Finance Officer in Kenya, Zimbabwe and Lebanon, and a Finance Manager for the multi-country programme. These support financial planning, grant management, budgeting, compliance and donor reporting.

Project management roles are Project Officer in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Lebanon and Colombia, covering programme implementation, stakeholder engagement, partnership management and country-level activities.

Monitoring and support roles are a DMEL Officer (Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) and a Project Assistant, covering data collection, learning systems, performance monitoring, reporting and operational support.

Who can apply

Each position has its own technical requirements. Hivos looks for experience in project management, financial management and grant administration, monitoring, evaluation and learning, civil society development, partnership and stakeholder engagement, or international development and nonprofit programming. Experience in donor-funded programmes, regional initiatives, governance, human rights or organisational development is particularly welcome.

How to apply

Applicants should read the individual vacancy announcements and apply for the post matching their preferred country or area of expertise through the Hivos recruitment platform. No deadline is stated here.
