Head of Platform (Infrastructure & DevOps)

Overview

Mimica is hiring a Head of Platform to lead the infrastructure and DevOps strategy as the company scales. The organization operates on a remote-first, globally distributed model across multiple countries. The Platform team provides the backbone for the entire engineering organization, supporting internal developers, maintaining environment health, and managing AI infrastructure.

Requirements

Applicants must have proven experience leading engineers, managing other leaders or team leads, and scaling teams through strategic hiring. The role requires solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes across multiple regions, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD. Candidates need a demonstrated track record in owning reliability, setting service level objectives, managing incident response, and handling disaster recovery. Additional requirements include observability experience with platforms such as Honeycomb, Grafana, or Datadog, comfort with reviewing code and architecture hands-on, and experience managing infrastructure budgets and cloud costs. Candidates must also have experience designing deployment models for enterprise customers and supporting security reviews, along with a background in fast-paced startups or scale-ups. Familiarity with Crossplane, Temporal, SOC 2 compliance, and technical due diligence for funding rounds is beneficial.
