Head of Engineering

Overview

Radiant is looking for a Head of Engineering to lead its engineering organisation and oversee execution, technical quality, reliability, and scalability. This senior leadership role is based in London, United Kingdom, operating as a full-time position within a startup environment focused on building AI-native cloud platforms and infrastructure. The current engineering team of 30 to 35 engineers is expected to grow to 150 to 200 plus professionals as the company expands internationally.

Requirements

Applicants need significant experience leading and scaling engineering organisations of twenty or more engineers through multiple growth stages, including experience managing other managers. The role requires a strong track record in hiring and developing senior engineers, technical leaders, and Engineering Managers, alongside proven expertise in evolving smaller groups into multiple teams with clear accountability. Candidates must possess a strong technical background in modern software engineering, distributed systems, cloud platforms, or infrastructure-heavy products, and have experience owning production systems where reliability, observability, and scalability are critical. Experience with scaled SaaS, AI or ML platforms, or infrastructure technology businesses is strongly preferred.
