Overview
Habitat for Humanity International is hiring an Analyst for Compliance Solutions. The full-time position is remote within the United States, and the listed location is US Remote, California. The analyst advises Habitat affiliates that face operational, governance or compliance difficulties and presents significant organisational risk. The work centres on risk assessment, compliance monitoring, corrective action planning and organisational improvement, helping affiliate leaders find practical solutions and strengthen long-term sustainability.
The analyst will also be cross-trained in other areas of the Compliance Solutions team to help during busy periods.
What you get
The annual US hiring range is US$63,900 to US$95,100, depending on location, qualifications, experience and internal equity. Staff in hybrid arrangements near the offices in Atlanta, Americus (Georgia) or Washington, DC may need to be in the office on Tuesdays.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience, plus three to five years of experience with Habitat for Humanity or a similar nonprofit. Strong written and verbal communication, project management, the ability to handle several priorities with limited supervision, and skill in analysing complex information are required. Experience working with stakeholders in sensitive situations is important.
Preferred experience includes nonprofit risk assessment, compliance and governance, conflict resolution or mediation, organisational development, change management, process improvement and performance reporting. Knowledge of Habitat's mission and affiliate model is highly preferred. Curiosity, patience, persistence, compassion and sound judgement are valued.
Duties include conducting risk assessments of at-risk affiliates, developing corrective action plans, monitoring compliance with Habitat policies, reviewing affiliate submissions and preparing recommendations for the Compliance Committee, creating measurable improvement plans for affiliates on probation, tracking risk trends and reporting to leadership, and improving oversight systems and tools.
