Overview

Greenpeace International is recruiting an International Philanthropy Manager, also titled Strategic Fundraising Manager for Key Relationships. The post is full-time and globally remote, with the option of working from a National or Regional Office. It carries an initial two-year contract with possible extension, a Grade 18 classification, and a salary set according to the candidate's home country. The manager reports to the International Fundraising Director.

What the role involves

The manager leads the Key Relationships part of the Global Fundraising Strategy, covering philanthropy, institutional fundraising, major individual donors, legacy giving and capital campaigns. A central task is supporting a 100 million euro capital campaign for a new ship alongside the Priority Global Funders strategy. Other duties include building partnerships with institutional funders and major donors, advising fundraising teams and National and Regional Organisations, leading a multidisciplinary team including Global Capital Campaign and Global Philanthropy staff and contractors, managing budgets, working with Development, Technology, Finance and Programme teams, and acting as product owner for the Key Relationships CRM.

Requirements

Applicants need at least seven years of senior fundraising management experience with a significant philanthropy focus, and at least four years leading international teams. They should have led a capital campaign, written successful global proposals for major funders, designed global fundraising strategies, and used several fundraising techniques. Strong people management, strategic thinking, budget management, communication and negotiation skills are expected, as is experience in multicultural settings and with Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Safety principles.
