Overview

Greenpeace International is hiring an International Philanthropy Manager, also titled Strategic Fundraising Manager - Key Relationships. It is a senior, full-time role for an experienced fundraiser and is globally remote, with the option of working from a Greenpeace national or regional office. Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network that uses peaceful and creative campaigning to expose environmental problems and promote solutions.

The manager designs and carries out the global fundraising strategy for major giving, covering strategic partnerships, institutional funders, individual major donors, legacy giving and capital campaigns. A notable initiative is a 100 million euro capital campaign for a new ship, alongside the Priority Global Funders strategy. The role advises Greenpeace International and its independent national and regional organizations.

What you get

The position is Grade 18, with salary set according to the successful candidate's home country. The initial contract is for two years, with possible extension.

Requirements

Greenpeace seeks at least seven years of senior fundraising management experience, including at least four years leading international teams, experience leading a capital campaign, and a record of winning proposals from major funders. Candidates should also show experience in global fundraising strategy, philanthropy and major donor work, change management, financial management, multicultural settings, negotiation, and justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and safety principles. The manager leads a team that includes the Global Capital Campaign Director and two Global Philanthropy Managers, plus contractors, and acts as product owner for the key relationships CRM.
