Participants work on validating low-level firmware, Linux kernel drivers, and platform tools to support AI systems. The start date for the programme is September 2027.
Who can apply
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Maths, Data Science, or a related field. Applicants are required to possess the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme without requiring visa sponsorship, as visa support is unavailable for early careers positions.

The position is a permanent employment opportunity featuring flexible working arrangements, up to 5 percent matched pension contributions, and phantom equity. Employees also receive workplace benefits including free food and an on-site barista, income protection, life assurance, an electric vehicle scheme through salary sacrifice, and optional cover choices such as private medical insurance, dental cover, a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, and a give as you earn program.
Requirements
Applicants need experience working with Linux internals or firmware, along with strong proficiency in C, C plus plus, and Python. Candidates must demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative approach to solving technical problems, and the ability to take ownership of quality work. These qualifications can be demonstrated through coursework, dissertations, research, personal projects, or team projects. Knowledge of low-level software testing, virtualisation, hypervisor concepts, or automation pipelines is considered a useful additional strength rather than a strict requirement.

Successful applicants will be notified by early December at the latest and invited to complete a technical assessment, followed by in-person assessments in early spring for candidates reaching the final stage.
