Overview

Good Business Lab (GBL) is an independent non-profit labor innovation and research organization that uses rigorous evidence to show how investing in worker wellbeing can improve business performance. It was founded by academics and industry experts including Ach Adhvaryu of the University of California San Diego, Anant Ahuja of Shahi Exports and Anant Nyshadham of the University of Michigan. GBL is recruiting a Research Fellow on a two-year fixed-term appointment based in India, working remotely with flexibility to be based in Bengaluru or Delhi and to travel to project sites.

The Research Fellow joins a team of Principal Investigators and provides technical leadership across three to four ongoing projects, while helping develop new studies. Projects cover gender, climate, health, livelihoods, workplace wellbeing, labor markets and economic development. Research Managers handle daily project management, while the Fellow leads research design, implementation and analysis, including research questions, pre-analysis plans, measurement strategies, statistical analysis plans, data quality monitoring and risk management. The role also includes preparing grant proposals, advising firm partners, writing academic papers and donor reports, mentoring junior researchers, running internal training and representing GBL at conferences.
