Overview

The Global Survivors Fund is recruiting a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer to support its growing international portfolio of reparative measures for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. The fund was established in 2019 by Dr Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad, both Nobel Peace Prize laureates. It improves access to reparations, provides interim reparative measures where governments or others cannot or will not meet their obligations, advocates for stronger reparations programmes and offers technical expertise. The post is full-time and hybrid, open to candidates in Europe or Africa within time zones UTC -1 to +3.

What the role involves

The officer works in the monitoring, evaluation and learning team, generating evidence on the results of reparative measures projects. Duties include reporting against key performance indicators, supervising and adapting mixed-method impact evaluations involving survivors, overseeing data collection to ethical and survivor-centred standards and writing evaluation reports. The officer also facilitates end-of-phase reviews and lessons-learned workshops, prepares learning notes, develops theories of change, logical frameworks and indicators, and trains partners, consultants and country teams, remotely or through international travel. Tools mentioned include KoboToolbox, Excel, Stata, Power BI and NVivo.

Requirements

Applicants need a master's degree in social sciences, education, development studies or a related field, and at least five years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or learning. Experience with gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, conflict-related sexual violence, humanitarian programmes, reparations or evaluations involving children is valued, and research directly with survivors is an asset. A strong commitment to ethics, safeguarding, confidentiality and survivor protection is expected. Fluency in English is required, and French, Spanish or Arabic is an advantage. Candidates must already be authorised to work in the country where they are based, and the fund does not indicate it will sponsor permits or relocate staff.

Key dates

The application deadline is 6 September 2026.
