Global Opportunity: IDinsight Opens Manager and Senior Manager Talent Pool Across Africa and Asia|Apply by 24 Sept 2026
Overview
IDinsight, a global nonprofit that helps governments, foundations, NGOs and multilaterals use data and evidence to improve lives at scale, is taking applications for its Manager and Senior Manager talent pool. The organisation helps leaders answer what works, how programmes can improve and how effective solutions can reach more people, combining research, monitoring and evaluation, data science, technology and advisory work in education, health, agriculture, governance, sanitation and financial inclusion. It has about 250 staff in nearly two dozen countries. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and kept in the talent pool for about 6 to 12 months.
What the role involves
Managers and Senior Managers lead complex projects and advise senior stakeholders. Duties include overseeing client projects and relationships, directing research and evaluation, managing budgets and timelines, reviewing technical outputs, mentoring junior colleagues and helping build strong teams. They guide methods such as econometric analysis, mixed-methods research and complex evaluation frameworks, and turn findings into clear recommendations for policymakers, donors and executives.
Who can apply
IDinsight seeks a Master's or PhD in fields such as economics, statistics, public policy, development studies or quantitative social sciences, plus roughly 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in international development, research and evaluation, data analytics, consulting or programme management. Leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and the ability to run several workstreams are important, and experience with budgets, grants or donor relationships is desirable.
What you get
The main offices are in Lusaka, Nairobi, Dakar, Rabat, Delhi and Manila, and relocation may be needed. IDinsight says it sponsors employment visas for all nationalities in these locations, though candidates already authorised to work there may get priority. Benefits include international health insurance, paid vacation, sick and parental leave, relocation benefits, travel support, technology and work-from-home stipends and a professional development budget. A minimum two-year commitment is expected.
How to apply
Joining the talent pool does not guarantee employment. When a suitable post opens, shortlisted candidates go through a competitive process that may include interviews, practical exercises and reference checks.
