Overview

Girl Rising is looking for a Producer/Project Manager to support Unmuted: The Girl Rising Global Storytelling Challenge, a global storytelling initiative meant to amplify girls' voices and stories. Girl Rising works toward a world where every girl is educated, respected and heard, using storytelling, education, community engagement and partnerships. It has operations connected to India, Kenya and the United States and has merged with She's the First.

The role is remote, with candidates based in India, Kenya or Guatemala preferred. It is a freelance, full-time-equivalent engagement of about 8 to 12 months with an immediate start.

Who can apply

The position may suit experienced producers, project managers, creative professionals, communications specialists and storytelling experts who care about social change. Backgrounds in creative production, project management, media, social impact or international development are relevant, as is experience with global campaigns, girls' rights, gender equality, education or nonprofit communications. Applicants should be able to show they have managed projects from planning to delivery, coordinated stakeholders and kept timelines on track, and should be comfortable balancing creative aims with planning and coordination. Strong organizational and communication skills are likely to matter.

Requirements

The source does not list detailed duties or formal qualifications. Because the job combines production and project management, candidates need to deliver a creative project in a remote, international setting and commit substantial time to it.

How to apply

Candidates send an updated CV that highlights relevant production, project management, storytelling, communications and social-impact experience, plus a focused cover letter explaining their interest in the project and how their experience could contribute. Applications are submitted by email.

Key dates

The application deadline is 15 September 2026, and the start is immediate.
