Engineering Manager Scheduling Team (x/f/m)

Overview

Doctolib is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Scheduling team located in Berlin, Germany. The mission is to build scheduling infrastructure and booking experiences that give practitioners their administrative time back, contributing to a platform handling billions of appointments across Europe. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a hybrid work setup with up to two remote days per week.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least six years of software engineering experience and three years of engineering management experience, including leading a team of five or more engineers through delivery, hiring, and growth. Applicants should be credible with senior backend engineers regarding distributed systems, data modelling, latency, and throughput, and possess hands-on experience modernising large legacy systems such as extracting services from a monolith. Effective communication skills, critical and objective thinking, and a solution-oriented approach are essential. Additional experience in a regulated industry, hyper-growth environments, or working with AI coding assistants is considered beneficial.
