Overview
Earthjustice, a leading nonprofit environmental law organization in the United States, is hiring a Stewardship Specialist for its Principal Gifts work. Earthjustice protects people's health, natural resources and wildlife, advances clean energy and fights climate change through litigation, advocacy and partnerships. The specialist joins the Donor Marketing and Engagement Team and works closely with the Principal Gifts Team to design and deliver personalized stewardship experiences for major donors. The position is full time, non-supervisory, at 37.5 hours per week, and remote, for people working in or near New York, Washington, DC, Boston, Philadelphia or select East Coast markets. Occasional travel is needed for donor events, planning meetings and retreats.
Duties include developing customized stewardship strategies with fundraising staff, designing and coordinating personalized donor engagement plans, organizing virtual and in-person donor events, developing donor communications and materials, coordinating with internal teams and serving as the primary stewardship contact for the Principal Gifts team.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and at least four years in donor relations, stewardship or principal gifts fundraising. They should know stewardship best practices, have managed fundraising projects and stakeholder relationships, write and speak well, be organized, use fundraising databases such as Salesforce and work independently while collaborating across teams. Budget management and campaign stewardship experience are assets.

Salaries vary by location: New York, $107,500 to $119,400 per year; Washington, DC and Boston, $102,200 to $113,500; Philadelphia, $96,800 to $107,500; and Miami, $91,400 to $101,500. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
