Overview

The International Budget Partnership (IBP) is hiring a Fundraising and Grants Coordinator to strengthen its global fundraising, donor engagement, grant management and proposal development. IBP works with budget analysts, community organisers and advocates in more than 100 countries to promote public budget systems that work for people. The job is remote, flexible and full-time, on a one-year fixed-term contract that can be renewed subject to funding. The preferred start is early November 2026.

What the role involves

The coordinator works with the Director of Development and teams across the organisation. Duties include coordinating funding proposals, concept notes, donor reports and partnership submissions, setting timelines and keeping submissions on schedule. The role also covers prospect research, donor profiles and briefings for senior leaders, support for donor cultivation, maintaining a live grants tracker with reporting deadlines and grant terms, collecting narrative and financial information for donor reports, and keeping fundraising data accurate in the CRM, including help improving Salesforce and related tools.

Who can apply

IBP seeks a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's preferred, and 4 to 6 or more years of relevant experience in areas such as fundraising, proposal development, grants management, partnerships, international development, governance or public finance. Strong writing, editing and project management skills are needed. Experience with statutory and foundation donors and globally distributed teams is highly desirable.

What you get

Pay is location-based. Indicative salary is approximately USD 32,000 to 34,000 per year in some locations, and the vacancy gives ranges for several countries including Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana.

How to apply

Applicants submit a CV, a short cover letter and a short writing sample through IBP's online recruitment portal. Materials generated wholly or substantially with AI tools will not be considered.

Key dates

The deadline is 15 September 2026. First-round interviews are on 24 and 25 September 2026, and second-round interviews are expected in the week of 5 October 2026.
