Overview

The Director of Financial Risk position is a global leadership role based in Europe with the employer Tide, a financial platform supporting small business banking. The appointee will lead the global second line of defence financial risk team, shaping how the organization identifies, assesses, and oversees financial risks during a period of international scale, new product launches, and regulatory licensing. Requirements

Candidates must possess significant experience leading financial risk within a regulated financial services environment such as fintech, payments, e-money, or banking, including background operating in a second line of defence leadership role. Applicants need strong knowledge of financial risk frameworks for digital banking, payment, or e-money institutions, alongside deep expertise in treasury, liquidity, solvency, capital, statutory reporting, and tax risk. Accounting expertise and an accounting qualification are also expected, along with a track record of working across multiple regulatory jurisdictions and engaging directly with regulators and auditors.
