Overview

The Romani Feminist Collective is hiring a Communications Lead to support the Justice on Our Terms campaign. This initiative focuses on Roma women’s experiences of gender-based violence, institutional discrimination, and justice gaps. The campaign builds on the Roma Feminist Monitor, connecting community-led evidence with national and European advocacy in collaboration with partners across six countries in the European Union and Western Balkans. The campaign launch is scheduled for 24 November 2026, coinciding with the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. This is a temporary, fixed-term position operating on a globally remote basis.

Who can apply

This position suits communications professionals with experience delivering feminist, anti-racist, and social justice campaigns, ideally in collaboration with grassroots organisations. Candidates need strong graphic design and layout skills, proficiency in tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to create assets like infographics, social media carousels, and zines. Applicants must possess excellent English writing and editing skills, the ability to translate research and policy findings for wider audiences, and experience handling qualitative evidence and community stories with sensitivity. Familiarity with gender-based violence, structural racism, and institutional accountability, along with a willingness to engage with Roma feminist work and community-led advocacy, is required.

What you get

The position offers a remuneration rate of 200 EUR per day. The work arrangement is globally remote, allowing flexibility in work location. The role is temporary and fixed-term, though the total contract duration, working hours, and overall assignment budget are not specified.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae along with relevant examples of prior communications work. These portfolio examples should highlight campaign materials, graphic design, digital storytelling, and advocacy communications, demonstrating an ability to present sensitive research findings clearly and respectfully.

How to apply

Interested professionals must submit their applications by the specified deadline. Review of full assignment details and submission instructions is required prior to applying.
