Overview
Climate Catalyst is hiring a Programme Manager (Europe) to lead EU-focused work under its new AI and Climate Governance Programme. Climate Catalyst is an international non-profit working across Europe, India and Indonesia to speed up decarbonisation of heavy-emitting industries by convening governments, civil society, businesses and investors; current programmes include steel decarbonisation and sustainable aviation. The post is fully remote, suited to candidates within CET plus or minus 2 hours, and is a 12-month full-time contract of 40 hours per week with possible extension depending on funding.
What you get
The starting salary is 64,400 euros, adjusted by location. Requirements
The manager identifies policy opportunities on AI and climate governance, develops recommendations for European decision-makers, builds expertise on initiatives such as the Cloud and AI Development Act and the EU Tech Sovereignty Package, and monitors climate, technology and economic policy. They synthesise research into public briefings and reports, draft memos, policy papers, talking points and terms of reference for commissioned research, develop joint positions with NGOs, build relationships with businesses, investors, trade associations and civil society, map stakeholders and represent the organisation at events.
Applicants need at least five years of experience in EU policymaking, advocacy on technology, AI, climate policy or industrial decarbonisation, knowledge of European institutions and Brussels policymaking, experience engaging policymakers and civil society, multidisciplinary teamwork, strong analysis and excellent English. AI governance knowledge, business and investor engagement, industrial decarbonisation familiarity, another European language and multi-country experience are preferred.
