What the role involves
Case workers collect and maintain patient files, handling sensitive personal and medical information accurately and confidentially. They act as a point of contact for families in Gaza, gathering information, giving updates and answering questions with clarity and compassion. They liaise with medical professionals on assessment or triage, follow up on Multidisciplinary Team reviews, and track cases, including the progress of medical evacuations and aid delivery. They also join regular meetings to report on cases and receive guidance from the Case Manager. WhatsApp is a main communication channel.
Who can apply
The organisation wants strong written English, good proofreading, proficiency with Microsoft 365 and WhatsApp, strong organisational skills, the ability to manage several cases, empathy and emotional resilience. Public-facing experience is preferred. SharePoint knowledge helps and Arabic is desirable, though neither is mandatory. Volunteers need Windows 11 with current security updates or macOS Sonoma or later, Microsoft Word desktop, WhatsApp desktop with an active account linked to a mobile number, reliable hardware and a stable internet connection.
Requirements
Volunteers must give at least 10 hours per week and respond to communications within 48 hours.
