CESVI is Hiring a Protection Specialist (Fully Remote or HQ-Based): Gross Monthly Salary: €2,400–€2,600
Overview
CESVI is an independent humanitarian and development organisation, founded in 1985 in Bergamo, Italy, that works to protect vulnerable people, promote human rights and support sustainable development. It is recruiting a Protection Specialist to strengthen General Protection, Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence programming in Sudan, Myanmar, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zimbabwe. The post is multi-country and can be done fully remotely or from headquarters, with frequent field missions. It is expected to start in September 2026 and reports to the Global Protection Advisor.
The specialist provides technical guidance, quality assurance and mentoring to country teams. Work covers integrated protection programmes, violence prevention and survivor-centred responses, referral systems and psychosocial support, case management that follows standard operating procedures, confidentiality and informed consent, protection guidelines and tools, cash for protection, training and coaching of country teams, protection assessments and risk analyses, integrating protection into health, shelter, WASH, livelihoods and climate programming, coordination forums, proposal development, monitoring and evaluation, and donor reporting.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, law, international development, gender studies or a related field, at least three years of humanitarian protection experience and at least three years with an international NGO or United Nations agency in displacement, refugee or emergency settings. They should have humanitarian case management experience involving GBV, child protection or general protection, experience working with government authorities and coordination mechanisms, and experience designing and delivering training. Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish are required.
